Transponder-coded safety switches according to ATEX directive
Description
In potentially explosive atmospheres, according to the ATEX directive and the corresponding standards, special requirements are placed on the equipment used from which an ignition hazard can emanate. Transponder-coded safety switches are ATEX devices according to categories 3D/3G and can be used in hazardous zones 2 and 22 (gases or dusts). For explosion protection, safety switches are available as interlocking devices without guard locking or with monitored guard locking. The transponder-coded actuators have unique coding. The actuators must be taught-in by the integrated evaluation electronics for unicode version safety switches. It is possible to switch the safety outputs only using the actuator already taught-in. As such the unicode principle provides a high level of protection against tampering on bypassing guards.Features
- Suitable for use in zones 2 and 22 (gases and dusts)
- Compact design
- Integrated evaluation electronics
- With door monitoring signal
- 2 safe semiconductor outputs
- Series connection of several switches possible

ATEX housing guard
AM-C-C04-EX-137528
ATEX housing guard
- The housing guard is suitable for all CES-C04-AP/AR switches.
- The housing guard makes it possible to use safety switches CES-C04 in potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Protection of the switch and plug connector against possible impacts
- The safety switch is not included and must be ordered separately.
- When the PBT/PC plastic housing guard is used, the CES-C04 switches (with connecting cable or plug connector) comply with the relevant explosion-protection standards according to ATEX (zone 2/22).
