Safe key system CKS with AS-Interface

The CKS is a key system based on transponder technology. It consists of a highly coded key and a key adapter with integrated evaluation unit. The CKS…AS is used as an electronic lockout bar, a key transfer system or for assigning access rights to use an operating mode, for example. For operation on the AS-i safety bus, the CKS is integrated directly as a slave. When a valid key is inserted, a safe code sequence is sent directly to the safety monitor via the bus. Depending on the program stored in the monitor, the safety outputs are switched or installation startup is enabled, for example. Thanks to its transponder technology, the CKS…AS achieves the highest possible safety level: category 4/PL e. This allows it to be used for any application in any system.
With its compact, robust design and its high degree of protection (IP67), the CKS is suitable for industrial use.
