Function
Thanks to the transponder technology, even a single CTS achieves category 4/PL e according to EN ISO 13849-1, without additional fault exclusion, and meets all the requirements of EN ISO 14119. It is ideally suited to applications in which compact switch dimensions and a locking force of up to 3,900 N are required.Industry 4.0 ready
The switch can communicate in combination with an EUCHNER IO-Link Gateway, and sends process and device data to higher-level control systems. Comprehensive diagnostic messages enable rapid and targeted troubleshooting.Versatile use
The CTS reliably secures safety doors and flaps on machines and installations. It is suitable for both process protection and the protection of personnel. Thanks to three different mounting orientations and its compact design, the CTS is flexible in use. Safety switch CTS is a FlexFunction device combining various functions in a single device. Selecting the actuator defines the function selection. This allows the switch to be configured with or without guard locking monitoring and coded with a high or low coding level.Mounting and principle of operation
The CTS consists of two components: a safety switch and a separate actuator. The safety switch is mounted on the fixed part of the guard, the actuator on the movable part. ← The actuator is supported on a floating bearing, enabling it to tolerate vibrations or offset. It is suitable for hinged or sliding doors and can be used for small door radii as well.System Family BR
In the BR version, up to 20 safety switches CTS-BR or other EUCHNER products that belong to the BR system family can be connected in series. 2 different wiring concepts are available:Series connection in the control cabinet:
Wiring takes place in the control cabinet. All information about the status of individual CTS-BR can be forwarded directly to the control system.
Series connection in the field:
For field wiring, EUCHNER offers the option of using M12 plugs and Y-distributors to interconnect several CTS-BR. Instead of the Y-plug connectors, it is also possible to use a passive distribution module. On this device, all safety and status signals are collected together in the field and forwarded to the control system using one cable.
